Bridge on Teeth 18, 19, 20 and 21 is medically necessary for this patient. The treatment of removable partial denture is not equivalent to that of a fixed partial denture based on the fact that it requires preparation of uninvolved teeth across the arch, is tissue born and moves when chewing, and requires the patient to manage the prosthesis while chewing. The fixed partial denture will only involve the adjacent teeth and replaced the missing teeth in a manner that is closest to what the patient had prior to tooth loss. The requested treatment is indicated.
